It was 2008, one murky October evening, when the ways of two promising instrumentalist encountered. Under the name "The Ravens" began Lord Raven (piano) and Mephisto (guitar) to focus on their creation along. From this period roots of grandiose single "Rainfall" arised.

As the next turning-point in the development of the band can we mark members enlargment. The new person - acoustic bard Sirius - came. And with him also came big changes..

The name of the band was changed from "The Ravens" to "Mourn" and the band found their foul territory in shady village Žabeň (Frogland). This happened on November 2008.

Painstaking work on finishing of Rainfall did - against first intention - stretch, and concentration on its creation was disturbed by appearing of new songs. So, during one winter evening, first sad tones of "Lamentation" came out from Sirius' guitar and it became the first finished song of the band.

Next creation came shortly. While "Rainfall" was still floating its likeness, more songs had arisen from the dirty Frogland snow's internals, dominated by nationalistic "Into the Motherland". During this period, for the first time came an idea about album following journey of a soldier to his homeland.

The most difficult time for the band occured in summer 2009, when the activity was stopped for more than two months, because of members' bussyness. Paradoxically at this time there was the first audition with drums, when Mr. Fojtík imparted his skills to the band.

After that long pause came next changes. Sirius disengaged himself from acoustic guitar and he has expanded his repertoiry with bass guitar. Now there is a change, hanging in the air...
